Endodontics -
root canal treatment
under a microscope
Endodontic treatment, commonly known as root canal treatment, involves removing the infected pulp from inside the tooth and thoroughly cleaning its canals.
What the treatment looks like step by step?

01
Consultation
and diagnosis
First, the dentist conducts a detailed clinical and radiological examination to assess the condition of the tooth and plan treatment.
02
Anesthesia
and opening
of the tooth chamber
For complete comfort, the treatment is performed under local anesthesia. The dentist removes the diseased pulp and gains access to the root canals.
03
Preparation
of the canals
Using specialized tools and an endodontic microscope, the canals are thoroughly cleaned, widened, and disinfected.
04
Filling
of the canals
The canals are tightly filled with biocompatible material, which protects them from reinfection.
05
Reconstruction
of the tooth
The final stage is to restore the crown of the tooth using composite material or, in the case of larger cavities, using a prosthetic restoration.
👉 At our clinic, root canal treatment is usually completed in a single visit. In special cases, such as extensive inflammation, it may be necessary to spread the treatment over two visits.
Comfort
and safety
The entire procedure is performed under anesthesia, so it is completely painless. The use of a microscope and modern materials allows for very high effectiveness and long-lasting treatment results.
Why
it is worth it?
Standard microscope – precise treatment of even the most difficult canals.
Comfort – always under local anesthesia.
Fast process – One visit is usually sufficient.
Restoring aesthetics and function – The tooth looks and functions like a natural tooth.
Experience – hundreds of successful treatments performed each year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can every tooth be treated with root canal treatment?

Most teeth can be saved, but the final decision is made by the dentist after examining and assessing the condition of the tooth. In some cases (e.g., extensive damage to the crown), additional prosthetic restoration may be necessary, or if the damage is too extensive, extraction may be required.

Does root canal treatment hurt?

No – the procedure itself is performed under local anesthesia, so the patient does not feel any pain. After treatment, the tooth may be tender or painful for a while – in some patients, the discomfort subsides after a few days, but sometimes the sensitivity can last for several weeks or months. This is a natural healing and adaptation process. If the pain intensifies or causes you concern, you can always contact our office and a doctor will assess the situation.

How long can a tooth function after root canal treatment?

With proper treatment and adequate hygiene, a tooth can serve the patient for many years.

How long does root canal treatment take?

At our clinic, treatment usually takes place during a single visit, but in special cases it may need to be spread over several visits.

Is a tooth weaker after root canal treatment?

After root canal treatment, the tooth becomes more fragile, so it is often recommended to rebuild it with a crown-root inlay and a prosthetic crown to ensure its full strength.
